Tanks are usually the medium of choice for collecting air samples for testing volatile organic compounds (VOC). These containers have inert lining, hold for a long time, and do not require a sampling pump. However, cleaning procedures are critical because regulations require as little as subPPB analysis. At such low concentrations, the residue of the former sample can significantly affect the analytical results.
